1 - The Problem
When running their fundraising events in the past White Matter Brain Trust typically collected donations via Cash or using EFTPOS machines. The problem with Cash is an obvious one, no one carries it anymore and those that do have a limited supply, putting immediate constraints on fundraising efforts.
Running multiple EFTPOS machines also comes with a number of problems including: Costs, Contracts, Complexity and the ability to add scale quickly.
2 - The Solution

We didn’t have to worry about looking after as much cash as we would have normally had on hand at the end of a fundraising event, which definitely offered us peace of mind. Since most of the donations went directly into our bank account, it also meant our fundraising totals were more accurate and we didn’t need to worry about counting or depositing cash.
The simplicity of the Payminty+ app also meant it was easy for anybody to use regardless of their technological ability. Some of our volunteers have had challenges operating EFTPOS machines in the past, but we didn’t experience any usability issues with the app.
As a small charitable organization, we really appreciated the lower cost commitment compared to alternative payment tools. The ability to add and remove users depending on our busiest moments of the year is a great bonus too.

3 - The Benefits:
The convenience for people attending events to pay using their preferred method with the least amount of effort really helped to amplify the total funds raised
Fundraiser's found the Payminty+ app incredibly easy to use (easier than an EFTPOS machine).
The ability for Maggie to invite Fundraisers as additional Team Members directly from the Payminty+ app and turn a Fundraisers own Android device into a Tap to Pay payment terminal meant the cost, complexity and time associated with procuring additional EFTPOS terminals was eliminated
No long term contracts or commitments meant Maggie and her team could scale up for their fundraising events but then scale down when not in use
Ensuring all donations/payments were digital with multiple team connections all automatically routing to the correct accounts really cut down on reconciliation tasks and operational administration
